Homework for the next 2 weeks is as follows:

Finish reading The Once and Furure King
By December 3rd

Please bring 2 notable children's picture books to class on December 3rd.
To be used in our next project.

The children's picture book should be a book that has a defined story plot.
You should be able see at least 1 literary device used within the book.

If you have any questions about your book, or need ideas... Please see your appendix pg76-80 for a list of book suggestions.

Books selected so far are:
Pablo- are you my mother
Megan- give a mouse a cookie
Kathryn- the giving tree

Everyone must have a different book, which is why we are asking that you bring a 2nd option.


If you were absent from class this week, please be sure to have your Casey at Bat questions and plot chart completed so that you can receive credit for your homework!

Once we get through this next lesson...
We will have completed our teaching the classics/Socratic Method book!!!
This is great new because we have reached the point where you are armed with the tools to discuss and Analyze!!! (yay!)

In the upcoming weeks we will be using what we've learned to complete some fun group/ individual projects :)

Just a reminder that homework this week is to read through to the end of book 2 in The Once and Future King

You also received a handout during class which should be completed this week.  Each of you received a page from a book by a famous Author. 
You were asked to read the page and creatively interpret mood, tone and setting by doodling a drawing over the text that best expresses how the reading made you feel. 

If you are not a good drawer... Do not worry. Use you your creativity and color to imply mood.
